Being in Flow.
When do we know that we are in flow?
It’s when things miraculously work out without us having to push or bang your head against the wall.
It doesn’t mean that it’s easy, won’t be exhausting, lots of work, or difficult.
Everything just seems to flow.
This is what happened when a flying-by-the-seat-of-my-pants impromptu photoshoot had to be organized to prepare for the @ethicalfashionfestival next month.
The who, when, where, how came together before I even had breakfast this past Saturday morning!
And yesterday, 11/11, the furniture pulled aside to make space for the shoot in the middle of the living room. Which is where I turned into an octopus with 8 arms learning why it takes many people to pull a shoot-off with grace and ease. Ironing the backdrop, preparing the clothes, capturing process video and photos for social, checking hair, styling, making decisions, grabbing whatever possible to help everyone stay as comfortable as possible.
Working with talented women like @shesawthings who has been ‘seeing my things’ for many years and my beautiful friend @elena_rotondi came prepared with accessories, shoes and a professionalism that blew my mind. She’s used to work behind the camera when she belongs in front of it, don’t you think?
The camera loves her and she’s showed me what being embodied looks like!
Thank you both for supporting my dream, being there for me and literally making my day!
Elena is wearing the Jumpsuit in 100% Linen made on handlooms in artisan communities in India.
Drop by the @ethichalfashionfestival in December, do your holiday shopping buying from ethical companies. You’ll not only do good, you’ll feel good too.
