I’m getting a bit personal today ☺️ During

I’m getting a bit personal today ☺️

During my time working and leading design teams for Nike, Adidas, Columbia Sportswear, Pendleton Woolen Mills, and also running my design consultancy, I thought that by becoming better at designing or creating better creative directions and decks, I thought by working harder, longer hours, answering all the emails in a timely matter, and showing up for those darn meetings that, eventually, I would reach my highest career aspirations.
When I finally realized that to fulfill my destiny or reach the higher visions I saw for myself, I had to invest as much time and dedication into my personal and inner growth as to honing my professional skills, I had already walked away from the Apparel Industry.
I discovered that I ran a pattern or subconscious belief that I didn’t deserve what I wanted unless I worked really, really hard for it. And no matter how close I had gotten to my ultimate goal, it had always been taken away at the last minute anyway.
My career, even though I had achieved a lot of success, mirrored that worldview back to me over, and over, and over again.
I blamed my boss, I blamed the economy, I blamed the company, I blamed my coworker, I blamed the circumstances.
